***Allison & Carey Gunworks is two (2) - (8) working days to complete your recall work. Remington is 2 to 4 months to complete this recall when sent to them. So where do you want the work completed? Yes, a very simple choice on that!

To provide enhanced repair and return service, Remington requires that the consumer contact our customer service team at: 800-243-9700 to obtain a Service Request Number (SRN) prior to shipping or bringing in your model 700 to Allison & Carey Gunworks!

Remington Arms Company, LLC (“Remington”) is voluntarily recalling Remington Model 700™ and Model Seven™ rifles which were manufactured from May 1, 2006 through April 9, 2014 and which have an X-Mark Pro® (“XMP®”) trigger. Rifles manufactured after April 9, 2014 are not subject to recall.


To participate in the recall, please follow the instructions below:

STEP 1: Visit xmprecall.remington.com or call 1-800-243-9700 (Prompt #3 then Prompt #1) Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT. You will be asked to provide your name, address, telephone number, and rifle(s) serial number.


STEP 2: Upon receipt of the information requested in Step 1, Remington will send you pre-paid shipping tags, boxes and written instructions. Remington will cover all related shipping, inspection, and cleaning charges. Please ONLY return your rifle with the designated shipping tags and boxes, as they are marked to expedite the rifle to a dedicated Remington facility.

VERIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION: Upon return of your rifle, you will note a punch mark on the bolt release (see Photo below). This mark confirms your rifle has been inspected and specialty cleaned under this recall program.
